ENFP💞ENFJ
ENFP (Ne-Fi-Te-Si) + ENFJ (Fe-Ni-Se-Ti)
Potential for Conflict
Ne v. Ni: ENFPs like to explore ideas, potential, and possibilities whereas ENFJs are looking for one truth and ultimate meaning. Thus, ENFPs might see ENFJs as limited or uncreative, and ENFJs might see ENFPs as scattered or unfocused.
Fi v. Fe: ENFPs value individual experience whereas ENFJs value social structures/values. Thus, ENFPs might see ENFJs as overbearing, oversensitive, or clingy, and ENFJs might see ENFPs as self-absorbed, hard to read, or inconsiderate.
Te v. Ti: ENFPs sometimes struggle with Te and can use it defensively to be overly active or assertive, which might strike ENFJs as unpredictable or disorderly. ENFJs tend to resist careful critical analysis of themselves, which might strike ENFPs as inconsistent or hypocritical.
Si v. Se: ENFPs tend to resist reflecting on the past and doing things in a careful, planned, detail-oriented way, which might strike ENFJs as unreflective, careless, or lazy. ENFJs sometimes struggle with Se and can use it defensively for vain or attention-seeking reasons, which might strike ENFPs as superficial, uptight, or misguided.
Both are extraverted so they might not spend enough time doing restful and introverted activities.
Opportunities for Growth and Balance
This pair could get along well if they focused on what they had in common which is a love of people and a desire to be helpful. ENFPs can learn from ENFJs how to handle people more smoothly and be more organized and goal-oriented. ENFJs can learn from ENFPs to be more creative, relaxed, and in touch with their own values/needs.
Both should give each other more leeway to be themselves. ENFPs should realize that ENFJs like structure so help them maintain order and fulfill your responsibilities on time. Try to be more consistent and reliable. Be more open to their ideas about getting organized. ENFJs should realize that ENFPs need freedom to explore themselves and the world, so be more flexible in your expectations of them. Try to be more open-minded and relaxed with their ideas or suggestions.
ENFPs should realize that ENFJs value what others think not out of vanity but because they want their actions to be meaningful to others. ENFJs should realize that ENFPs need to act according to their own conscience in order to feel at ease. Do not judge each other too quickly without really understanding the other’s perspective. Try to communicate more openly and tolerantly.
Both can struggle with viewing situations critically/analytically and can have difficulty with sorting through negative emotions. In terms of conflict, it would be important that both learn to express their dissatisfaction or emotional needs in a constructive way. Be more open to compromising and finding middle ground.
Find an activity you can do together that allows you to express your values and desire to help others outwardly, e.g., volunteer or community work. Or find a creativity activity you can both pursue in order to bond through shared interests. Since both are extraverted, make sure you take enough private time for rest, reflection, and personal development.
